National Infertility Awareness Week

Today begins National Infertility Awareness Week. This year I am posting from the other side of infertility but I still remember those who are still longing for their miracle. Please educate yourselves. Sometimes "helpful" advice can cause enormous amounts of pain. "Just Relax!" "Stop trying so hard!" "Don't worry; you're young!" "Maybe it's a sign that you're not meant to be a parent." (Oh yes but that crackhead deserved a baby, sure...) Yeah......heard them all. It just goes to show that education is KEY when it comes to spreading awareness of the horrible disease called infertility. Yup, it's a disease even though people like to think we can just "relax" or "vacation" it away. If you are feeling up to it, please consider using your status updates this week to help spread awareness for infertility. Who knows, maybe one of your friends is suffering in silence and you will give her the courage to seek out the help she needs.
